Helen DeLibero Obituary

DeLibero, Helen Boyko DeLibero, age 91, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Michael W. DeLibero Sr., passed away peacefully on February 21, 2018 in her residence. She was born on April 22, 1926 in Stratford and was the daughter of the late Harry and Pearl Zelik Boyko. Helen was a lifelong resident of Stratford and married her childhood sweetheart, Michael. She attended the old Honeyspot School and Stratford High School. Helen was employed by City Trust Bank and retired from the State of Connecticut where she worked as a secretary. Helen is survived by one son, Michael W. DeLibero Jr. of Stratford, one daughter, Doreen Sobolewski and husband Joseph of Bridgeport, one granddaughter, Sarah Sobolewski and several nieces, nephews, friends, relatives and great neighbors. In addition to her beloved husband Michael of 62 years, Helen was also predeceased by three brothers, John, Charles and Michael Boyko and one sister, Ann Stevens. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary's Ukrainian Church, 10 Oakwood Street, Bridgeport for a Requiem Funeral Service celebrated by Rev. Stephen Masliuk. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 4-7 P.M. in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford, CT.
