Malino, Helen Verbosky Malino, age 92, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Peter D. Malino, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2018 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Helen was born on March 7, 1925 in Bradenville, PA and was the daughter of the late George and Julia Hovance Verbosky. Helen was employed by Schick as a Machine Operator for several years. She enjoyed reading, traveling, Polka dancing and cherished spending time with her treasured grandchildren and great grandchildren. Helen was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW # 9427 of Fairfield. Helen is survived by one daughter, Donna Best of Stratford, one son, Philip Malino and wife Tracie of Stratford, five grandchildren, Alan, Jennifer, Jillian, Jayson and Jeffery, ten great grandchildren, Jenna, Anthony, Jack, Kate, Nathan, Sarah, Stella, Ella, Lukas and Kaylee, one sister, Julia Verbosky of Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, Peter of 60 years, Helen was also predeceased by four brothers, John, George, Joseph and Stephan, three sisters, Veronica, Anna and Marie, and one son-in-law, Jonathan Best. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane Stratford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Udayakumar Xavariapitchai. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Saturday from 8:30 – 10:30 AM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
