Joseph D Greene

Greene, Joseph D. Greene, age 80, of Stratford, beloved husband of Carol O'Connor Greene, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2015 in his residence with his loving family by his side. Joseph was born on February 25, 1935 in Bronx, NY and was the son of the late Daniel and Mary O'Malley Greene. Joseph served his country in the US Navy and was employed by Norden Systems as a computer programmer for 31 years. Joseph also was in charge of the Oronoque Village library for a number of years. In addition to his beloved wife, Carol of 56 years, Joseph is also survived by one son, Terrence (Terry) Greene of Cranford, NJ, two daughters, Margaret (Peg) Maziuk and fiance Michael Driscoll of Seymour and Susan Shea of Shelton, eight grandchildren, Timothy Greene and wife Aimee, Neil Greene and wife Jenna, Ryan, Sean and Kyle Maziuk, Katelynn, Jay and Scott Shea, four great grandchildren, Mason, Trevor, Mackenzie and Logan, two sisters, Claire Murphy of NY and Frances Greene of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his son, Kevin Greene and two sisters, Mary Peterson and Marjorie Greene.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Birendra Soreng. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery Shelton. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford on Friday from 8:30 - 10:00 AM.
