Marie (Kuhar) Bogue

Bogue, Marie Kuhar Bogue, age 98, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Robert F. Bogue, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2018 in Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with her loving family by her side. Marie was born on July 4, 1919 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late John and Susan Kasper Kuhar. She was employed by General Electric for 46 years as an assembler. Marie was a creative artist, who enjoyed arts and crafts, wood carving at the Sterling House and oil painting. She is survived by two sons, Dennis Bogue and wife Carol of Stratford, Jeffrey Bogue of Virginia, two daughters, Beverly Nearhood of Florida, Susan Brace and husband Michael of New Hampshire, four grandchildren, Jennifer, Alex, Caitlynn and Beth, three great grandchildren, Veronica, Jordan and Gabriel and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, Robert of 47 years, Marie was also predeceased by four brothers, John, William, James and Thomas, one son-in-law, Arnold, and one daughter-in-law, Polly. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 20, 2018 at 10:00 AM in St. Mark’s Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. The family wishes to thank the 4th floor staff at Lord Chamberlain for their loving care given to Marie. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Marie’s memory to Hartford Hospital Kidney Transplant Program, 85 Seymour Street, Suite 320 Hartford, CT, 06106.
