Neris (Guglielmoni) Cecere

Cecere, Neris Guglielmoni Cecere, age 97, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Richard Cecere, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2017 in Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with her loving family by her side. Neris was born on December 3, 1919 in Italy to the late Guiseppe and Ersilia Montano Gugliemoni. She loved to travel, garden and was an excellent cook. Neris is survived by one son, Richard Cecere and wife Susan of Shelton, one sister, Norma Masse of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband of 63 years, Neris was also predeceased by one son, Ronald Cecere, three brothers, Morris, Albert and Mario Gugliemoni, and one sister, Dorothy Bertini. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10:30 AM in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street Stratford. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank the staff of the second floor at Lord Chamberlain for their care and compassion.
