Robert G Studley

Robert G. Studley, age 73, of Stratford, beloved husband of 51 years to Maribeth Norris Studley, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2017 in St. Vincent's Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Robert was born in Bridgeport on September 15, 1943 to the late C. Raymour and Lorraine Poland Studley. He was a proud graduate of Notre Dame High School and Stonehill College. Bob had a strong commitment to his faith and led a life of service and volunteerism. He worked as a Controller, most recently retiring from Guest Company. Survivors in addition to his wife include five children, Anne Davis and husband Eric of West Simsbury, Eileen Donaghy and husband Peter of Havertown, PA, Robert J. Studley and wife Karen of West Haven, Kevin Studley and fiancé Cheryl Wendt of New Haven and Elizabeth Pellegrino and husband Anthony of New Haven. "Pa" will be greatly missed by his fifteen grandchildren, Catie, Allie, Andrew, Erin, Jack, T.J., Kate, Riley, Sean, Ethan, James, Colin, Charlie, Sam and Quinn. He is also survived by two sisters, Joan Keogh of Trumbull and Sister Lorraine Studley IHM of East Rockaway, NY, one sister-in-law, Peggy Lachapelle of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his beloved parents and brother-in-law, Robert Keogh.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. James Church, 2070 Main Street, Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by his high school friend Rev. Thomas Lynch. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in Bob's memory to St. Vincent's SWIM Across The Sound, 2800 Main St., Bridgeport, CT 06606 or Lord's Kitchen, Stratford Clergy Association c/o Rev.
