Constance (Connie) Vane Serritella Constance (Connie) Vane Serritella,age 93, of Stratford, the beloved wife of the late Frank Serritella passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Bridgeport Hospital. Mrs. Serritella was born in Bridgeport on October 13, 1914 and a 50 year resident of Stratford. She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Dominica Vena, a 25 year volunteer at the Baldwin Senior Center and a former member of St. James Ladies Guild. Connie is survived by her devoted daughter, Noreen Smith and her husband Vincent of Trumbull, cherished granddaughter, Dr. Jennifer R. Smith and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her four brothers, John Vena, Samuel Vane, Louis Vane, Anthony Vane, five sisters, Sarah Musco, Mary Varnelli, Rose Gudell, Theresa Corvino and Helen Botha. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Shelton Lakes Health Care Center for their exceptional care and devotion to Connie over the past two years.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 9:30 AM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford and in St. James Church at 10:30 AM where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home on Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 3 – 7 PM.
