Anna Durkay

Durkay, Anna Durkay, age 93, of Stratford, beloved daughter of the late John and Anna Torma Durkay, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2017 in her residence. Anna was born on January 6, 1924 in Slovakia. She was employed by Schick Safety Razor as an assembler for 23 years. She was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Seniors and the Stratford Baldwin Center. Anna is survived by the Bob family, where she spent every holiday and family event, Mary Bob of Stratford, John Bob and wife Kelly of Stratford, Evelyn Bob Story and husband Thomas of Milford, lifelong friend, Anna Kovac of Stratford and several cousins in Slovakia. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 10:30 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Andrew Marus. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 – 10:30 AM in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
