Catherine Ruth Crowley

Crowley, Catherine “Katie” Ruth Burns Crowley, age 78, of Monroe, beloved wife of the late Francis E. Crowley, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2018 in Newtown Rehabilitation & Health Care Center with her loving family by her side. Katie was born on October 27, 1940 in Milford and was the daughter of the late Russel Burns and Ann Williams Lewis. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking, especially her famous Katiebeans. Katie cherished spending time with her family and maintaining her home, which were the center of her life. She is survived by three sons, Patrick H.J. Nash of Meriden, James D. Nash and companion Jen Papke of West Haven and David Crowley and wife Lisa of Seymour, two daughters, Colleen Mikolichick and husband James of Monroe and Lisa McGuinness and husband Edward of Milford, nine grandchildren, Crysta Nash, Sean Nash, Daniel McGuinness, Matthew McGuinness, Jonathan Mikolichick, Tyler Crowley, Michelle Nash, Brad Nash and Philip Nash, one brother, Robert Burns and wife Hanh, two sisters, Carol Farmer and Sherry Tarantino and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Frances E. Crowley, Katie was also predeceased by her former husband, Henry J. Nash, one son, John M. Nash, one daughter, Frances Nash,one brother, Russell Burns, and one grandson, David “DJ” Crowley. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 10:30 AM, at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford, officiated by Rev. Russell Augustine. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, December 3, 2018 at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
