Peter John Nevelus Jr.

Nevelus, Peter John Nevelus Jr., age 77, of Stratford, beloved husband of Joan Pickard Nevelus, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2017 in Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. Peter was born on December 7 ,1939 in Bridgeport and was the son of the late Peter  and Mary Konecny Nevelus. He was employed by Avco-Lycoming as a tool and die maker for many years. In addition to his beloved wife, Joan, Peter is also survived by three sons, Peter J. Nevelus III of Stratford, Michael Nevelus of Sarasota, FL and Joseph Nevelus of Stratford, two grandchildren, Sarah and Max Nevelus, one sister, Carol VanTassell of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved parents, Peter was also predeceased by one sister, Mary Ann McKenna. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 12:00 PM in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford officiated by Rev. Andrew Marus. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home.
