Tekakwitha E. Carpenter

Carpenter, Tekakwitha E. Fay Carpenter, age 73, of Stratford, beloved wife of Thomas C. Carpenter, passed away on October 5, 2018, in Bridgeport Hospital. Tekakwitha was born on May 11, 1945 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Cecelia Vano Fay. Her first job was as a nurse at Bridgeport Hospital, she later worked in Accounts Payable for Beck-Lee INC.. Tekakwitha was a people person, an avid animal lover and enjoyed spending the summers at her beach house in the Lordship section of Stratford. In addition to her beloved husband, Thomas, of 49 years, Tekakwitha is survived by one brother, Terrence L. Fay of Milford, three sisters-in-law, Nancy Carpenter,of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Lotte Carpenter of Freeville, New York and Shirley Carpenter of Shaker Heights, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. All services will be private, and have been entrusted to the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
