Therese M. McFarland

McFarland, Therese M. Breton McFarland, age 57, of Stratford, passed away suddenly on October 4, 2018 in her residence with her loving family by her side. Therese was born on February 26, 1961 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Juliette Boisvert Breton. She was employed by Stair Parts Supply as an office manager. Therese was always willing to help, reliable, organized and enjoyed restoring old furniture, crocheting and DIY projects. She was an amazing aunt to her nieces and nephews and was a wonderful mother. Therese is survived by one son, Timothy J. McFarland of Stratford, life partner, Jose Goncalves, three brothers, Marcel Breton and wife Diane of Stratford, Richard Breton of Shelton, and Pierre Breton wife Elaine of Stratford, four sisters, Claudette Perley and husband Donald of Brookfield, Germaine Workman of Stratford, Gisele Kason of Derby, Lucille Messing and husband Howard of Georgia, one sister-in-law, Gale Breton of New York, former husband, Timothy F. McFarland of Georgia, 34 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved parents, Therese was also predeceased by two brothers, Daniel and Réal Breton, and one sister, Nicole Donnachie. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 10:00 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Mariusz M. Olbrys. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Garden Mausoleum. Friends may call on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
