Etienne, Wilnique Etienne, age 58, of Stratford, beloved husband of Marie Gerard Etienne, passed away suddenly in his residence on March 16, 2018 with his loving family by his side. Wilnique was born on July 12, 1959 in Tour-du-Nord, Haiti to Paulena Azemar and Pierre Etienne. He graduated from L’Ecole des Science de Port-au-Prince with a degree in Civil Engineering and Business affairs. He worked in Haiti as an agent for the international sponsorship plan of the Croix de Bouquets and as an agent for the Haitian government. He married Marie Therese. After moving to the United States, he began working for Walmart and later for the United States Postal Service. Over the years, the couple welcomed a number of children into their home and Wilnique set about teaching them love, kindness, and patience. His children remember him as a kind, gentle and driven. He was a father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Wilnique was a generous, witty and dedicated individual who loved his family and friends. He was passionate about education. He was an active and dedicated member of the Schilo Seventh-day Adventist Church. Wilnique is survived by his mother, Paulna Azemar, wife, Marie Therese; children, Djoury Nicky, Sara Jean Nickita, Wydden, Winnie, Tara, Emmanualla Etienne and many siblings. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home. The family would like to thank all family members and friends for their kind words and dedication.
