Alfred Pimpinelli

Pimpinelli, Alfred Pimpinelli, age 91, of Fairfield, beloved husband of the late Anna Bitner Pimpinelli, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2016 in the Summit at Plantsville nursing home, with his loving family by his side. Alfred was born on January 26, 1925 in Ambler, PA and was the son of the late Anglo and Angelina Richardi Pimpinelli. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy during World War II and served on Acorn 52. Alfred was employed by United Illuminating as a Boiler Operator and enjoyed visiting the Fairfield Senior Center. Alfred is survived by one son, John Pimpinelli and wife Kathleen of Plantsville, one daughter, Carol Meier and husband Jeff of Jacksonville, FL, three grandsons, Michael Pimpinelli and wife Michelle of Cheshire, Brian Pimpinelli and wife Meiling of North Branford and Kevin Pimpinelli of Naugatuck, six great grandchildren, Kevin, Matthew, Jason, Tyler, Alyssa and Brianna, one sister, Millie Wells of St. Petersburgh, FL and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife, Anna, Alfred was also predeceased by his first wife, Edith Pearl Pimpinelli and seven brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 10:30 AM in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street Stratford. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery Monroe with full military honors. Friends may call on Monday from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
