Ann McCorry

McCorry, Ann Grich McCorry, age 96, of Shelton, formerly of Stratford,  beloved wife of the late Thomas McCorry, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2018, in Newtown Rehabilitation and Health Care Center with her loving family by her side. Ann was born on July 26, 1922 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Charles and Susan Knut Grich. She enjoyed playing pool and bocce at the Baldwin Center and was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Women’s Guild, the Women’s Auxiliary VFW Post 9460 and the Baldwin Center. Ann is survived by two sons, Thomas McCorry and wife Gail of Georgia and Joseph McCorry and wife MaryJo of Shelton, one daughter, Elizabeth Foster and husband Robert of Newtown, six grandchildren, Christine, Tara, Kaitlin, Thiandra, Kelly and Michelle, five great grandchildren, Julie, Amanda, Trace, Ainsley and Mason, one sister, Jane Tesla of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, Thomas, Ann was also predeceased by nine brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 10:30 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Albert Pinciaro. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
