Brian W. Bailey

Brian William Bailey, age 81, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Karuna Bailey, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025 in Bridgeport with his loving family by his side. Bill was born to William and Georgia Bailey on January 31, 1944. He grew up in Bridgeport, Connecticut with his older sister, and went to Harding High School. After high school he served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, where he was a mechanic.  After his military service, Bill worked hard to become a Master Electrician. While he was building his career in construction and the fire department, he would go on to get married, build a house on Lake Forest, and have two children. Bill enjoyed tinkering with cars and machines, collecting, and spending time with the many animals he nurtured. Bill met his second wife, Karuna Bailey, while working and they fell in love and remained married until his death. He is predeceased by his sister, Mary Alice, and his parents, William and Georgia. Bill is survived by his wife, Karuna Bailey, his two daughters, Dawn, and Faith, his three grandchildren, Miranda, Heather, and Gloria, and his two great-grandchildren Mason and Julius. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 10:30 to 11:00 AM at Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
