Carol L Misurale

Misurale, Carol L. Steele Misurale, age 73, of Shelton, beloved wife of John A. Misurale, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2016 in her residence with her loving family by her side. Carol was born on December 25, 1942 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Franklin and Helen Layke Steele. She was employed by Sikorsky as an Electrical Assembler for many years. Carol was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph's of Stratford National Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and cleaning, she will be remembered for her saying" Family comes first and cleanliness comes second." She also cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her beloved husband John, of 54 years, Carol is also survived by one son, Paul V. Misurale and Michele of Florida, two daughters, Justine Pirulli and husband Anthony of Monroe and Carla Misurale and fiancé Dennis DellaGioia of Shelton, four grandchildren, Paul Jr. and Lia Misurale and Nico and Gina Pirulli, two brothers, Ronald Steele and wife Patricia and Franklin (Lee) Steele and wife Debra and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 8:00 AM DIRECTLY in St. Joseph's of Stratford National Catholic Church, 1300 Stratford Road, Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Michal Gitner. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford on Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire, may contribute in Carol's memory to St. Joseph's of Stratford National Catholic Church, 1300 Stratford Road, Stratford, CT, 06615. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of the 9th floor at St. Vincent's Medical Center and VITAS Hospice Program for the kindness and compassion shown to them in their time of need.
