Charles E Petrovitch Jr

Petrovitch, Charles E. Petrovitch Jr., age 67, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2015, in Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. Charles was born on May 7, 1948 in Bridgeport and was the son of the late Charles E. and Marion F. Herman Petrovitch Sr.. He was employed by Avco-Lycoming as a Quality Control Inspector for 20 years and went on to become CEO of California Helicopters. Charles was a preservationist, aviation consultant, avid nature lover, photographer, boater and fisherman. He enjoyed riding his Harley, spending time at the beach and cherished spending time with his family. Charles is survived by three sons, Charles E. Petrovitch III, Todd N. Petrovitch and Matthew T. Petrovitch and wife Teresa all of Stratford, one stepson, Craig (CJ) Nowell of Stratford, one stepdaughter, Kellie Nowell of Wallingford, eight grandchildren, Julia, Victoria, Gianna, Isabella, Matthew Jr., Christopher Jr., Sebastian, and Nina, four sisters, Carol Delaney and her husband, John of Vermont, Marilyn Carattini and her husband Carlos (C.J.) of Ohio, Joan Fasano and her husband Fred of Watertown, and Cathy Corica and husband Raymond of Stratford, his loving fiancé, Cathy Milne of Stratford, and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 10:00 AM in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
