David J Petreycik Sr

Petreycik, David J. Petreycik Sr., age 61, of Bridgeport, beloved son of the late Joseph and Mary Aron Petreycik, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. Dave was born on February 28, 1955 in Bridgeport. Dave's high spirited optimism more than doubled his life expectancy as he challenged an 18 month battle against pancreatic cancer. For that we immensely thank Dr. David Witt and his wonderful staff at the Trumbull Smilow. Dave was known to many as "The Mopar Guy". The biggest smiles on his face were always when he was talking cars. David is survived by his wife, Laurie White Petreycik of Stratford, loving children, son, David (D.J) Petreycik Jr., daughter, Teresa (Tess) Petreycik, all of Stratford, two brothers, Robert (Bob) J. Petreycik, of Bridgeport, and his children Julie Pontier husband Willis and Joseph Petreycik wife Roweena and Michael J. Petreycik wife JoAnn of Bridgeport.

Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 9:00 am, directly at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Boston Avenue, Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Andrew Marus. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main St., Stratford CT. Per Dave's request, the family ask that flowers be omitted.
