Dorothy B Victoria

Victoria, Dorothy Babnick Victoria, age 81, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Richard J. Victoria, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2016 in St. Vincent's Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Dorothy was born on May 16, 1934 in Stratford and was the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa Babnick. She was the chief union steward of BC&T Local 50 for Country Home Bakery for many years, prior to her retirement in 1997, was an avid Yankees fan and cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren, family was her life. Dorothy is survived by one son, Kenneth Victoria and wife Karen of Waterbury, two daughters, Nancy Yanosy and husband John of Stratford and Theresa Gallace and husband John of Stratford, three grandchildren, Kellie, James and Kenneth, two great grandchildren, Nathan and Justin, one brother-in-law, Henry Victoria of Fairfield, two sisters-in-law, Patricia Babnick and Theresa Babnick both of St. Petersburg, FL, beloved niece, Andrea Farley of Newtown and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband Richard, Dorothy was also predeceased by one son, Richard Michael Victoria, four brothers, Joseph Jurnak, George Babnick, William Babnick and Edward Babnick, and three sisters, Pauline Jurnak, Theresa Farley and Ann Cryoskie.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 9:00 AM in St. James Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street Stratford, on Friday from 4:00 -7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may contribute in Dorothy's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
