Eleanor A. Burke

Eleanor A. Buda Burke, age 78, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late, Harold F. Burke Sr., has kicked the bucket. She was born on November 10, 1944 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Annie Dvorsky Buda. She was a proud Stratford resident, member of the Slovak Catholic Sokols and very involved with the Stratford Town Republican Party. She is survived by one son, Harold “Hank” F. Burke Jr., four granddaughters, Debby and husband, Anthony, Laurel, Summer and Eva, two great grandchildren, Alexander and Lillian and two sisters, Judy and Nancy. In addition to her beloved husband, Harold, Eleanor was also predeceased by her longtime friend and business partner, Diane Buda. Funeral services will be held on, Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford, where A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Albert Pinciaro. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may contribute to animal shelter of your choice in Eleanor’s memory.
