Frances C. Mauro

Frances C. Mauro, age 76, passed away on April 9, 2023.  She was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Philip and Mary Intelisano Bertone. Frances loved her boys and her dog “Abby”.  Fran loved Christmas time and baked hundreds of cookies for her close friends and family. She loved to read historical romance novels and volunteered her time preparing, cooking and serving meals at the Beth-El Soup Kitchen.  Prior to her retirement, Frances enjoyed her career as an Administrative Assistant most recently working for Hartley and Parker.  Frances is survived by her sons Dominick Mauro and Anthony Mauro both of Stratford, her brother Joseph Bertone, her nieces Laura Vega and Karen Lynn, her adoptive family Connie, Emilio and Emme and numerous cousins, great nephews, great nieces and lifelong friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Frank Bertone and nephew, Christopher Mauro. Funeral services will be held at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday April 13, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
