Frank A. LaSella

Frank A. LaSella of Stratford, CT passed away peacefully on July 2, 2024, at his home on the Housatonic River. Frank was the son of Frank LaSella and the late Mildred Throupe. He was born in Bridgeport CT on December 23, 1951. Frank retired from UPS after 37 years where he made many good friends and hosted their Annual Reunions at his home for many years. He loved photography and art and spent twelve years as a wedding photographer. He also enjoyed his boat and fishing, just like his grandfather, Frank LaSella, Sr. He traveled extensively in his life where he used his photography skills to take beautiful pictures which he would frame and gift to family every Christmas. Frank also loved all kinds of music, especially Latin music, and salsa.  One of his favorite travel destinations was Key West FL where he spent many winters enjoying the music and art that Duval St had to offer (he was known by name in many of the pubs). Frank is survived by his sisters, Dee Baluchinsky and husband, John of Watertown, Sheila LaSella of Stratford, Mindy Lanning and husband, Mark of Clearwater, FL,  two brothers Patrick LaSella and wife, Donna of Milford and Kevin LaSella and wife, Karen of Meredith, NH, many nieces, nephews, and great niece and great nephews, as well as his long-time girlfriend and companion Marisol Martinez.  Marisol was a loving caretaker for Frank by his side every day during his illness and his family is eternally grateful to her for the support and love she surrounded him with.  We would also like to thank/recognize his close friends Jack Prestiano, Craig and Roy Green who were there for him during his illness, especially Jack who took him to many doctors’ visits and brought him home cooked food every week. He was predeceased by his sister, Missy Throupe Mangiacapra. Frank will be remembered as a good and generous man, but most of all genuine to a fault, just like his father.
