Frank M. Longo Sr.

Frank M. Longo Sr., age 94, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Potter Longo, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2023 in his residence with his loving family by his side. Frank was born on September 2, 1928 in Bridgeport and was the son of the late Peter and Margaret Trisko Longo. He was employed by Straton Industries as a Tool and Die Maker for many years and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, competitive shooting and spending time with his family. A favorite memory of the family is strawberry picking with all three generations. Frank is survived by two sons, Frank M. Longo Jr. of Woodbury and Paul R. Longo and wife Janice of Stratford, one daughter, Ellen Murray of Milford,  eleven grandchildren, Allison, Frank III, Matthew, Ashley, Douglas, Elizabeth, Tricia, John, Rachel, Paul Jr., Nicole, ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife, Elizabeth, Frank was also predeceased by two brothers, Peter Longo Jr. and William Longo and one son-in-law, Thomas Murray. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 9:00 AM in St. James Church, 2070 Main Street, Stratford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Peter Adamski. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Trumbull. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
