George Beshara Obituary

George Beshara, 83, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026 at Lord Chamberlain. Born on January 14, 1943 in Bridgeport, to the late Frederick and Alfina (Bocaccio) Beshara, George spent his life in Stratford, Connecticut, while also enjoying many happy years at his home in Naples, Florida.

George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce (Komaromi) Beshara. He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Booth and her husband, Jeff, of Stratford; his son, Brian Beshara of Stratford; and his three grandchildren, Emily and Ryan Booth, and Dominic Beshara.

George dedicated 32 years of his life to serving the Stratford community as a Detective with the Stratford Police Department. He earned the respect of his colleagues and the gratitude of countless members of the community he so proudly served.

Beyond his career, George had a passion for music and enjoyed attending concerts, especially performances by The Beach Boys, Brooks & Dunn, and Bon Jovi. He also appreciated life's simple pleasures, believing any day was better with a slice of Frank Pepe's Pizza or a Duchess hot dog in hand. An avid traveler, George especially loved Caribbean cruises and looked forward to spending his winters in Naples, Florida.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Brightview Senior Living of Shelton and Lord Chamberlain for the exceptional kindness, care, and support they provided to George.

A very special and heartfelt thank you is extended to George's devoted caregiver, Max, who remained faithfully by his side for the past four years, Max's unwavering compassion, dedication, and love meant more to George and his family than words can express. Through his extraordinary care, Max became far more than a caregiver he became a cherished member of the Family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to help Max pursue his dream of a career in nursing, a tribute to the remarkable care, compassion, and friendship he gave to George, https://www.supportnow.org/george-beshara-s-caretaker-max Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 5, 2026 at 10:00 AM officiated by Deacon Joseph Koletar in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
