Gloria H. Torreso

Gloria H. Sherry Torreso, age 90, of Stratford, wife of the late, Donato Torreso, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2023 in the Jewish Senior Services with her loving family by her side. Gloria was born on June 4, 1932 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late John and Helen Costic Sherry. She enjoyed traveling to the casino, entertaining at her house and spending time with family. Gloria is survived by two son, Kevin Torreso and wife, Robin and Daniel Torreso, three daughters, Kim Povinelli and husband, James, Joanne Landrum and husband, Tim and Luanne Dunleavey and fiancé, John, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one brother, Donald Sherry, one sister, Pat Briglia and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Donato, Gloria was also predeceased by two sons, Keith Torreso and Kent Torreso. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Jewish Senior Services and Gloria’s good friend, Helen for their love and compassion shown to Gloria.
