Gloria M. Yanosy

Gloria Marcoux Yanosy, age 87, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late John T. Yanosy Sr., passed away peacefully on June 24, 2021, in Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side. Gloria was born on August 10, 1933 in South Berwick, Maine and was the daughter of the late Albert and Delvina Marcoux. She was an avid bowler, mahjong player, oil painter and fan of the Boston Celtics and the Uconn Women’s Basketball team. Gloria was a member of the St. James choir for many years and enjoyed reading and spending time with family. Gloria is survived by one son, John T. Yanosy Jr. and wife, Nancy of Stratford, one grandson, James Yanosy of Stratford, her beloved dog, Maya and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, John, of 58 years, Gloria was also predeceased by many siblings. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 10:30 AM in St. James Church, 2070 Main Street, Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford on Monday from 4:00 – 6:00 PM.
