Greg Charles Corvino, Sr., age 69, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Vermont on November 16, 2024. Born on December 23, 1954, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Greg was the cherished son of Marion E. (DeCava) Corvino and the late Paul S. "Corky" Corvino. A proud member of the Teamsters Local Unit 191 in Bridgeport, Greg was known for his unwavering work ethic and dedication to his craft. A gifted craftsman, he delighted in creating intricate wooden toys and enchanting treehouses for his six beloved grandchildren: Ella, Ava, Mikey, Sophia, Brody, and Blake. Along with his beautiful birdhouses, these creations, made with love, became symbols of his thoughtfulness and creativity, bringing joy to his family for generations to come. Greg’s devotion extended beyond his family. An animal lover at heart, he was known for adopting pets in need and tenderly caring for backyard birds, ensuring they were well-fed through every season. His passion for motorcycles was infectious, and the day he proudly rode home on his Buell bike remains a treasured family memory. Greg will be deeply missed by his three children: Greg Corvino Jr. (and wife Amy), Aimee Nyberg (and husband Jimmy), Anthony Corvino (and wife Emily), and their families. He is survived by his mother, Marion, his sister, Donna Calzone, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and his brother, Paul T. Corvino. Greg’s kindness and devotion to his family and friends will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him. Family and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service in Greg’s honor at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Ave, Stratford, on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 9:00 AM officiated by Deacon Joseph Koletar. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
