Helen G. Borghi Zihala, age 93, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Raymond Frank Zihala, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026 in Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side. Helen was born in Old Tappan, New Jersey on April 9, 1933 to the late Amos and Viola Rosetta Southard Borghi. She was employed by Summerfield United Methodist Church as a secretary for many years. Helen loved animals, knitting, crocheting, reading, spending time with family and travelled to all 50 states with her husband in the RV.  Helen is survived by two sons, Robert Duckworth and wife, Mary of Huntington and Leonard Duckworth of Florida, one daughter, Kathleen Arendt and Enrico Barone of Shelton, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, Raymond, Helen was also predeceased by one son, David Duckworth and one brother, and three sisters. All services were held privately. Arrangements were entrusted to the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
