Ida E Mraz

Mraz, Ida E. Romano Mraz, age 91, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late John F. Mraz Sr. passed away peacefully on September 8, 2016 in Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side. Ida was born on April 27, 1925 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Gelormo and Vincenza Romano. She was employed by General Electric for 44 years as an assembler and went on to work for the Stratford Board of Education as a food service employee for 15 years. Ida enjoyed dancing, taking leisurely rides with her adored husband and cherished spending time with family. She was very active, always doing something around the house and loved her cat, Puzzles. Ida is survived by one son, John Mraz Jr. and wife Jean of Stratford, one daughter, Arlene Pengue of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, three grandchildren, Kevin Pengue Jr. and wife Tara, Ashley Pengue and Olivia Mraz, one brother, Robert Romano of Trumbull and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband John of 62 years, Ida was also predeceased by one grandson, Austin Mraz, one granddaughter, Amanda Mraz and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Road, Stratford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Nicholas Pavia. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Monday at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM.
