Incoronata Gertrude Pellegrino, age 99, of Phoenix, AZ, formally of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Antonio Pellegrino, entered into eternal rest on Holy Saturday, April 4, 2015 in her residence with her loving family by her side. Born in Castelfranco in Miscano, Italy on October 13, 1915 she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Antonietta Belpedio D'Apice. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother she was the epitome of the virtuous women. Incoronata was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Bridgeport for 47 years where she was a member of the St. Theresa Guild. She was also a faithful parishioner at Corpus Christ Catholic Church in Phoenix, AZ for 9 years. In addition to devotion to her family, her passion was her art. She was an accomplished Fashion Designer. specializing in custom bridal, bridesmaid and special or formal occasion dresses. Survivors include her devoted son, Edward Ennio Pellegrino and his wife Loraine of Phoenix, AZ, three cherished grandchildren, Anthony Pellegrino of Gilbert, AZ, Danille Montanaro of Wilton, CT and David Pellegrino of Phoenix, AZ, four great grandchildren, Mark-Anthony and Faith Pellegrino of Gilbert, AZ, and Jack and Cole Montanaro of Wilton, CT, one daughter-in-law, Mary Pellegrino of Phoenix, AZ and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband Antonio of 69 years, Incoronata was also predeceased by her two beloved sons, Antonio (Tony) and Joseph.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 9, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. in St. James Church 2070 Main Street Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Bruce Roby. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 8:30-10:00 A.M. in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
