Jane S. Alessie

Jane S. Alessie, age 79, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late J. Bruce Alessie, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2021 in Maefair Health Care Center, with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 21, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio and was the daughter of the late, Ted and Catherine Borns Sullivan.  Jane attended the University of Dayton where she met the love of her life J Bruce Alessie.  In addition to working as a Administrative Assistant for Century 21 Reynolds in Stratford for over 20 years, Jane was always focused on the arts and enjoyed crafting and making her annual holiday Christmas sleighs.  She was a proud parishioner of St Mark Church in Stratford and member of the Ladies Guild. Jane is survived by one son, J. Michael Alessie and wife Arleen J. of Milford, one daughter, Kimberly Ann Alessie of Stratford, two grandsons, Michael J. and Joseph B. Alessie both of Milford, one brother, Edward Sullivan and wife Sonya of Tennessee and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved parents, Jane was also predeceased by her beloved husband of 48 years, J Bruce Alessie, two brothers, Bill Sullivan of Kettering, OH and Michael Sullivan of Riverside, CA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford on Friday from 9:00 – 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may contribute to the St. Mark’s Memorial Fund, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford, CT 06614. The family would like to give special thanks to Sue Linden for her special care of Jane during these past few months, the staff at Care Connection by Stratford VNA especially, Noemi Ortega Diaz, and all her awesome neighbors and friends.
