Joanne E. Sullivan

Joanne E. Egan Sullivan, age 84, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late William J. Sullivan Jr., passed away peacefully on January 23, 2022 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Joanne was born on February 21, 1937 in Manhattan, NY and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Rose Anne Dolan Egan. She was employed by St. Vincent’s for many years as an LPN and enjoyed gardening, ceramics, crafts and painting. Joanne was also a member of the US Postal Service Ladies Auxiliary Branch #32 and Our Lady of Peace Church in Stratford. Joanne is survived by three sons, Michael Sullivan and wife, Frances of Milford, Daniel Sullivan of Stratford, Timothy Sullivan and wife, Joanna of Brookfield, one daughter, Jean Sullivan of Las Vegas, three grandchildren, Katie, Kevan and Giuliana, three sisters, Mary Theresa O’Brien of Bronxville, NY, Sister Rose Andrew of Hartsdale, NY and Kathleen Henry of Poughkeepsie, NY and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, William, Joanne was also predeceased by two brothers, Andrew Egan Jr. and Patrick Egan, and one sister, Rose Marie Noll. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Peace Church in the Lordship section of Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Nicholas Pavia. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were entrusted to the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
