John J. Bertholf

John J. Bertholf left this world peacefully on October 10, 2022, after his battle with cancer at the age of 72.  John is now reunited in eternity, with his beloved parents, Sophia and William Bertholf, along with his predeceased aunts, uncles, and cousins. John served in the United States of America Marine Corps in the early 1970s and truly had a heart of gold. John cherished his relationship with his adoring mother, Sophia, who lived to 101.  She used those years to instill many wonderful characteristics in John including his love of cooking and feeding company.  Sophia and later John, always made sure to not allow any guest to leave their home with anything less than a full belly and warmth in their heart.  John leaves behind his partner in life, Debra Cherenzia, her daughter and son in law, Shana and Joshua Baum, along with their two sons.  He is also survived by his daughter, Sandra, and his three sons, Jeff, Michael, and Peter, as well as his treasured family and friends.   Respectfully, services will remain private, as per John’s final wishes.
