Sibiski, John T. Sibiski, age 91, of Stratford, beloved husband of Irene Buda Sibiski, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2018 at Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. John was born on December 6, 1926 in Bridgeport and was the son of the late Walter and Bertha Wysocki Sibiski. He was a proud US Navy Veteran and was employed by Avco-Lycoming for many years as a foreman. John was an avid bowler, ballroom dancer and enjoyed gardening. In addition to his beloved wife, Irene of 69 years, John is also survived by one son, John T. Sibiski Jr. of California, one daughter, Sharon Honafius of Naugatuck, two grandchildren, Peter and wife Sydney and Shana and husband Josh, four great grandchildren, William, Wyatt, Zoie and Paizley and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved parents, John was also predeceased by two brothers, Walter and Edward Sibiski and two sisters, Bertha Piatek and Dorothy Piotrowicz. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 9:30 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Mariusz Olbrys. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford with full Military honors.
