Joseph Hreschak III Obituary

Joseph A. Hreschak III, age 63, of Shelton, beloved son of Joseph A. II and Felicia Chernesky Hreschak, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2021 in his residence. Joseph was born on January 4, 1958 in Bridgeport. He graduated from Sacred Heart University, where he was captain of the soccer team and was employed by Sikorsky for 42 years as an Industrial Offset Manager. Joseph was a Rear Commodore and Life Member of East End Yacht Club and an avid Red Sox and Dolphin’s fan. In addition to his beloved parents, Joseph is also survived by his son, Joseph A. Hreschak IV of Stratford,  daughter Brittany Hreschak of Shelton, grandson Benjamin, sister Patty DeFilippi and husband, Dominic of Cape Coral, FL, two nieces, Jodi and Mia DiFilippi and mother of his children, Andrea Trosan Hreschak of Stratford. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 9:00 AM at St. James Church, 2070 Main Street, Stratford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Peter J. Adamski. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Stratford. Friends may call on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM.
