Lawrence S. Dobitas

Lawrence S. Dobitas, age 65, of Naugatuck, passed away suddenly in his residence on September 15, 2022. Lawrence was born on March 12, 1957 in Bridgeport and grew up in Stratford and was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Kuchta Dobitas. Lawrence is survived by one brother, William Dobitas and wife, Deborah of Stratford, one sister, Diane Wirtemburg and husband, Joseph of Stratford, eight nieces and nephews, George Piel and wife, Tammy, Jennifer Piel, Teresa Wirtemburg, Andrew Wirtemburg, Alyssa Dobitas, Breanna Dobitas, Evan Dobitas and Donald Dobitas Jr., and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved parents, Lawrence was also predeceased by his lifetime companion, Laurel May, one brother, Donald Dobitas and one sister, Joanne Piel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford officiated by Rev. Nicholas Pavia. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
