Lois Elaine Duplissey Krushinsky, age 85, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2024, at Bridgeport Hospital. Lois was the beloved wife of the late Bernard Krushinsky. Born on May 1, 1939, in Northampton, MA, Lois was the daughter of the late James and Cecelia Duplissey. She was a dedicated teacher in the Bridgeport Public Schools for 42 years, where her work was more than just a job; it was her calling. Lois was an active volunteer for the Special Olympics for many years. She enjoyed bowling in the teachers' duckpin league, traveling, watching the Hallmark channel, and shopping.
She is survived by her daughter, Deidre A. Anderson and her husband Scott of Milford; her son Curt A. Krushinsky and his wife Susan of Milford, and son Craig Krushinsky of Hartford. Lois also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Olivia Anderson Foley and her husband Kevin of East Haven, Nicholas Krushinsky of Milford, and Claire Canevari and her husband Brendan of Oceanside, CA; and her great-granddaughter, Quinn Foley. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Patricia Matter of PA, her nieces Melody Matter and Dena Cole, and her nephew Christopher Duplissey. She is pre-deceased by her brother, James Duplissey.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 10:00 AM directly at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church,283 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. Prior visiting hours have been omitted. Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Spring Grove Cemetery in Northampton, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Special Olympics Connecticut. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff on the 7th floor of Bridgeport Hospital for their special care and compassion shown to Lois.Arrangements have been entrusted to the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
