Louis Sabados Obituary

Louis Gerald Sabados, age 78, of Stratford, beloved husband of Lorraine Sirotnak Sabados, passed away on February 13, 2021 in Lord Chamberlain with his loving family by his side. Born on December 17, 1942 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Louis Joseph and Bertha Bordash Sabados. Louis graduated from Notre Dame High School in Fairfield in 1961. He then proudly served his country in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Independence, and his tour of duty included service in the Mediterranean Sea and participation in the blockade of Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. After being honorably discharged, Louis married the love of his life, Lorraine in 1965. He earned an Associate Degree in electrical engineering at Norwalk Technical College. For over 40 years, he worked for Branson Ultrasonics both in production and repair. Louis was a fisherman, handyman and photographer. He was also a voracious reader of history, science fiction, detective novels and Harry Potter and was also an avid fan of the television show The Curse of Oak Island. He loved spending time with his family, particularly during countless picnics, holiday parties and vacations. In addition to his beloved wife, Lorraine, of 55 years, one son, Michael and his wife Michelle,  grandchildren, Veronika and Michael Paul Daniel, sister-in laws, Dorothy Sirotnak, Frances Sirotnak and Irene Sirotnak, nieces Kathleen Wink and her husband Gary, Cynthia Macaluso and her husband Joseph and Diane Bove. In addition to his beloved parents, Louis was also predeceased by his brother-in-law, John Sirtonak and sister-in-law, Evelyn Sirotnak. Due to COVID health concerns, internment will be private but a memorial mass and reception will be held in the future. Due to the current health situation, all services were held privately and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
