Margaret “Peggy” N. Norris Lachapelle, 75, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2022, at The Connecticut Hospice. She was the daughter of the late James and Margaret McGrath Norris and was predeceased by her grandson, Jeremy James Norris-Lachapelle. Peggy devoted her life’s work to helping others as a Social Worker at both St. Vincent’s Hospital and then finishing her career at Bridgeport Hospital. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved children, John David Lachapelle Jr. and wife, Michelle, Eileen Poles and husband, Martin, four grandchildren, Takuone Geato, Briana Lachapelle, Rebeckah Perry and Garrett Poles, as well as two great-grandchildren, Carter and Kyla Geato. In addition, she leaves behind her sister, Maribeth Studley and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on October 7, 2022 at St. James Church, 2070 Main Street, Stratford, where A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Friday, October 7, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Connecticut Hospice.
