Margaret M. Wynne

Margaret M. Wynne, age 90 of Stratford passed away peacefully on April 2, 2023 at Gardner Heights Health Care in Shelton. Margaret was born was born in Bridgeport CT on June 26, 1932 to William B. Wynne and Elizabeth McLoughlin Wynne.  She attended St. Augustine Parochial School and Central High School. She graduated from Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing and Sacred Heart University with a B.S. in Nursing. Margaret was an RN at Bridgeport Hospital for over 40 years.  A devout member of St. Mark’s Church in Stratford, she was deeply devoted to her faith and to many charities she generously supported. Margaret enjoyed her many trips to Europe, especially to be with family in Ireland. She loved telling her stories, tinkering in her yard, and watching UCONN Women’s Basketball. Mostly, Margaret enjoyed her family and her faith. She will be forever loved and missed by all.  She was sadly predeceased by her parents, her brothers William, Terrence, Thomas, Francis, her dearest sister Mary Ellen, several nieces and nephews. It was rare to see either sister separate from the other in everything they did and any place they went. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at St. Mark’s Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford at 10:00 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Birendra Soreng.  Interment will follow in St. Michael’s cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2200 Main Street, Stratford from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude’s Place in Memphis, TN. 38105 in Margaret’s memory.
