Maria (DiCello) DeFazio

Maria DiCello DeFazio, age 86, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Nicholas DeFazio, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2019 in Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 28, 1933 in Platania, Italy and was the daughter of the late Michele and Teresa Bonadio DiCello. Maria is survived by two sons, Mario DeFazio of Stratford and Nicholas M. DeFazio of Burlington, CT, and two granddaughters, Nicole DeFazio of East Haven and Caitlin Cabral of East Haven. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 9:00 AM at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford, where A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Albert Pinciaro. Entombment will follow in St. Michael’s Mausoleum. Friends may call on Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Stratford from 8:00-8:30 AM.
