Mark E. Basso

Mark Edward Basso, age 73, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Jennifer Gayda Basso, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2022 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center with his loving family by his side.  Mark was born on July 21, 1948 in Bridgeport and was the son of the late Salvador and Julia Tarnawa Basso. He served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Mark learned to cook when he was in the Navy and he turned his skill into a lifelong passion of cooking and making wonderful meals.  Mark was most happy cooking for his family and watching them all enjoy the love he put into each and every dish he cooked.  Nothing made Mark more proud than his children and grandchildren. In addition to his beloved wife, Jennifer, Mark is also survived by one son, Jason Basso and wife, Katherine, one daughter, Marisa Basso, five grandchildren, Zane, Cruz, Elsie, Quinn, and Maeve one brother, Richard Basso and several nieces and nephews. According to Mark’s wishes, all services were held privately. The Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
