Perkowski, Michael William Perkowski, age 34, of Stratford, beloved son of Chester and Joann Pitoniak Perkowski, passed away suddenly on November 13, 2015. Michael was born on December 10, 1980 and was a lifelong resident of Stratford and graduated from Bunnell High School and Porter and Chester Institute as an automotive technician. Michael was a very proud father of his daughter MiKayla, who he cherished spending every moment with. He was loved by all who came to know him. Michael was a kind outgoing person with a heart of gold, who was always there to help anyone in need. You never saw him without a smile on his face and always had a kind word for everyone he met. He loved working on cars and the art of tattoos. Michael was an avid Mets and Giants fan and loved spending time with his many friends and family, especially his nephews who loved him dearly. Michael will be sadly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his cherished parents, Chester and Joann, Michael is also survived by his loving daughter, MiKayla Perkowski and her mother Jafrena Zuiewski, two brothers, Mark Perkowski and fiancé Sara Mutchler and Matthew Perkowski, one sister, Michele Perkowski and fiancé Shelly Deveaux and their children, Ryan, Aiden and Kyle, all of Stratford and his many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Michael was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Chester and Genever (Jean) Perkowski, maternal grandparents, John and Stella Pitoniak and one uncle, William Perkowski.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 10:30 AM DIRECTLY in the Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street Stratford on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the education trust fund for Michael's daughter, MiKayla at any Webster Bank location.
