Patricia M Mitchell

Mitchell, Patricia M. Rodko Mitchell, age 71, of Milford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 13, 2015 in Connecticut Hospice Branford with her loving family by her side. Patricia was born in Bridgeport on July 13, 1944 and was the daughter of Agnes and the late George Rodko. Patricia worked tirelessly to become a successful career woman working for GE and later Black & Decker. After retirement, she enjoyed working at the Milford Public Library. As a devout Catholic, her faith empowered her throughout her life. She was grateful for the opportunity to teach catechism to children of the faith. She will be remembered by many for her joy of life and willingness to give the gift of her counsel to others despite her own battle with cancer. Her personal strength and unwavering love truly defined her. Patricia was a dynamic, vibrant woman who made a difference in the lives of everyone she touched. She was a loving and devoted mother and grammie, she will be truly missed by her family and friends. Patricia is survived by her son, Christopher Mitchell and wife Meghan of Plainville, her mother, Agnes Rodko of Milford, three grandchildren, Erin, Wyatt and Mckenna, one brother-in-law, Richard Rife of Milford and several nieces, one nephew, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many many friends. In addition to her beloved father, George Rodko, Patricia was also predeceased by her cherished sister, Rita Rife.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2013 at 10:30 AM in St. James Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Lynch. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street Stratford, on Thursday from 8:00 -10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's memory to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd, Branford, CT 06405.
