Raymond T. Laskowski

Raymond Thaddeus Laskowski, of Stratford, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2021. He was born and grew up in Bridgeport, CT, to the late Vincent and Sophie Laskowski. He was proudly named Orcutt Boys Club “Boy of the Year” by the Mayor of Bridgeport in 1961. Raymond graduated from Sacred Heart University with his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Fordham University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. He began his professional career as a clinical social worker for Catholic Charities. Then, in true entrepreneurial spirit, Raymond developed and served as the Executive Director of Family Resource Associates in Stratford for forty-six years. It was through his practice he helped countless people lead happy, healthy lives. Raymond used his unique sense of humor to make genuine, uplifting connections with those in need. Outside of work, Raymond loved the Yankees, planting his vegetable garden, relaxing at his summer home in Rhode Island, listening to Sinatra by the pool, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Most of all, Raymond loved spending every possible second with the love of his life, Ellen. They talked, laughed, and loved every step of the way for over fifty years. In addition to his beloved wife, Ellen Laskowski, Raymond is also survived by two son’s, Christopher Laskowski and his wife, Melanie, and Michael Laskowski and his wife, Jill, one daughter, Kathleen Myers and her husband, Stephen, eight grandchildren, Bryan, Meredyth, Jack, Mitchell, Eli, Sam, Madison, and Macey, two brothers, Edward and Ted and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members that he treasured. He will be genuinely missed by all who knew and loved him and will live on forever through the memories they all cherish. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 9:00 AM in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford on Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM.
