Rev. Robert J. Maty

Rev. Robert J. Maty, age 90, of Bridgeport, beloved son of the late Michael and Mary Churma Maty, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2022 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Rev. Maty was born on November 15, 1931 in Bridgeport. He worked as a teacher and was employed by the diocese of Bridgeport as a priest for 50 years. In addition to his beloved parents, Rev. Maty was also predeceased by two brothers, Michael and George Maty, one sister, Mary Maty Thomas and one nephew, Robert E. Maty II. All services were held privately. Arrangements were entrusted to the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford. Special thanks to Mattie and Stephanie Mitchell for their care and compassion for Rev. Maty.
