Richard G DeGenova

DeGenova, Richard G. DeGenova, age 81, of Stratford, beloved husband of Patricia Powell DeGenova, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2016 in his residence with his loving family by his side. Richard was born on October 27, 1934 in Bridgeport and was the son of the late Carmine and Angel Mallon DiGenova. He was the proprietor of Temple Drywall and loved puzzles, cooking, his pets and spending time with family. In addition to his beloved wife, Patricia of 57 years, Richard is also survived by one son, Richard DeGenova and wife Geraldine of Trumbull, two daughters, Doreen DeGenova of Stratford and Sherry DeGenova and wife Susan Levy of West Hartford, five grandchildren, Vincent, Carmine, Philip, Angela and Christian, one nephew, Joseph Schippani, two nieces, Denise Maytas and husband Jeffrey and Dawn Nacewicz and husband Neil and several cousins. In addition to his beloved parents, Richard was also predeceased by one sister, Dorothy Schippani.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 10:30 AM in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford, officiated by Pastor Joseph Mixie. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Monday from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home.
