Rita Maye Breslin

Breslin, Rita M. Breslin, age 92, formerly of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Breslin passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 30, 2018. Rita was born on September 21, 1925 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Harold and Anna Smith Malstrom. Rita is survived by two daughters, Maureen Fiorella and her husband Tom of Stratford and Mary Downs of Canton, four grandchildren, Jim Reilly and his wife Denise of Milford, Michelle Trompetta and her husband Carl of Shelton, Gina Vercesi and her husband Jon of Tarrytown New York, and David DeCaprio and her great-grandchildren, Caroline, Jonathan, Erin, Stella, Bianca and Nola, and her great-great grandchildren, Sophia, Emelia, Bennett and Kieran. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. James Church, 2070 Main Street, Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Rogerio Perri.  Interment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford from 9:00 – 10:00 AM.
