Rose M. Bielen

Rose M. Corvino Bielen, age 92, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Theodore F.  Bielen, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2022 in her residence with her loving family by her side. Rose was born on July 18, 1929 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Paul and Theresa Vena Corvino. She was employed by Textron for many years as a clerk. Rose was a lifelong member of Holy Name of Jesus Church and the ladies guild. She volunteered at the parish office, for the Holy Name of Jesus Cardinals Football and was the biggest sports fan of all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rose is survived by two sons, Theodore F. Bielen and wife, Kathleen of Whyckoff, NJ and David J. Bielen and wife, Irene of Watertown, CT, two grandsons, Todd Bielen and wife, Beth and Kevin Bielen and wife, Meredith, two granddaughters, Amanda Bielen and Samantha Dinihanian and husband, Michael, one step granddaughter Sara Downey and husband, Kevin, seven great-grandchildren, Carson, Cole, Alexandra, Mia, Anna, Teddy and Makenzie, one brother, Paul Corvino and wife, Marion of Stratford, one sister, Nancy Pinkosky and husband, Michael of Beacon Falls and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY at the Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Albert Pinciaro. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home 2220 Main Street, Stratford. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire, may contribute in Rose’s memory to to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
